Our Curriculum has a thematic and creative approach and is designed to provide the children skills, knowledge and aspirations to ensure success for all.
In the Foundation Stage (Year Reception) , children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
In Key Stage One (Years One and Two) and Key Stage Two (Years Three, Four, Five and Six) we follow the new National Curriculum for English, Maths, Science, Computing and starting in Year Three French. PE, Music, and PSHE are also taught. We follow the Northamptonshire RE syllabus.
At Olympic Primary School we use the Read, Write, Inc (RWI) programme to get children off to a flying start with their literacy. RWI is a method of learning centred around letter sounds and phonics, which we use to aid children in their reading and writing from EYFS to Year 1. It is also used through Years 2-6 as an intervention.
